Description
This modular free-standing unit was produced in Scandinavia during the 1960s. It is made of teak wood in a warm shade of brown. It is mounted on high, black legs. This unit has a lockable cabinet with shelves, two small black drawers, 6 shelves and a retractable top that can be used as a small desk. This shelving system still remains a timeless classic with an economical, flexible design, offering many possibilities for individual, modern expression. The originator of this type of solutions was the legendary Danish designer and manufacturer Poul Cadovius, who in 1948 designed one of the world’s first modular furniture systems. The wall unit perfectly match the aesthetics of the Scandinavian era of Mid-Century Modern.
This shelves unit is in original vintage condition. It has minor signs related to age, scrapes and alterings. Height to the top is 74 cm and the width when unfolded is 56 cm.
