This model 804\/3B is so-called &#8220;\u00c5kerbloms chairs&#8221;. At the middle of the 20th century, doctor Bengt \u00c5kerblom, through his thesis &#8216;Standing and Sitting Posture&#8217;, became an authority in Swedish furniture design. \u00c5kerblom had scientifically investigated how a chair should best be designed to give the human body maximum comfort. The chair models became a bit like the &#8220;\u00c5kerblom curve&#8221; and remained an important concept in the industry throughout the 1950s. Based on \u00c5kerblom&#8217;s work, interior designer Gunnar Ekl\u00f6f produced an aesthetic and very comfortable 804\/3B chairs. The frame is made from birch wood and the seat and back are molded in mahogany plywood. This model is not only light and handy, but also comfortable and modern.<\/p>\n<p>The set in original vintage condition. It has light wear consistent with age and use, natural patina, minor color loss, scratches.
