This modernist sideboard was produced in Scandinavia during the 1960s. It was finished in high-quality birch wood. A characteristic features of this species of wood are wavy fibers, dense and evenly distributed. The structure and appearance of graining create a fantastic and natural effect, difficult to obtain in other types of wood. It is a very durable material and has an exceptionally decorative pattern, characteristic of Swedish or Finnish birch. This sideboard has a pair of sliding doors, which are decorated with hand-painted black and white, arch-shaped pattern. This piece has original round, golden handles and is based on wooden legs with an organic shape, characteristic of the mid-century modern era.<\/p>\n
The sideboards has been partially restored keeping its natural patina. This is a piece of furniture finished according to the rules of the Upcycled Vintage course. Its form is original and dates from the 20th century, but the final finish has been changed by artistic invention or composition of parts from different original object.
