The armchair has a compact form, full frame and preserved geometricity. The style refers more to Scandinavian design than to Polish designs of that period. This project, taking into account the specific shape of the armrests, some art historians unofficially ascribe to Professor Edmund Homie, the creator of the older brother of our armchair, the famous GFM-142 type. Delving into the history of the factory in Gościniec, it is highly probable that the author of this model was Juliusz Kędziorek, the second of the designer duo from Gościcin. It is worth paying attention to a certain dependence: the numbering of Edmund Homa’s models is even, and of Juliusz Kędziorek’s odd ones (with few exceptions). This system was to improve internal processes in the factory.

This furniture has undergone a professional renovation. The upholstery is made of high-quality, stitched natural leather finished in a mat. The frame is made of beech wood. The seat is 37 cm high.

This rare, Polish armchair model GFM-87 (300-203) was manufactured in Gościcińskie Fabryki Mebli in the early 1970s.
