Bengt Lindstr\u00f6m lived from 1925 to 2008. Lindstr\u00f6m is one of the most famous contemporary Swedish artists. His works are characterized by a distinct style with the use of many colors. The influence of the comics is evident in its directness and unambiguous message. In 1944, Lindstr\u00f6m moved to Stockholm to study with the Swedish painter Isaac Gr\u00fcnewald. In 1948 he went to Paris, where he studied with French painters Andr\u00e9 Lhote and Fernand L\u00e9ger. He remained in France in Savigny sur Orge until the end of his artistic career. Lindstr\u00f6m is probably best known for its exterior decorations, such as murals and colorful sculptures. One of his most famous sculptures is the massive Y sculpture at Midlanda Airport north of Sundsvall, Sweden.<\/p>\n
