Bengt Nordquist (1912 – 2012) is a Swedish artist. He was originally trained as a classical violinist. Only before the age of thirty did he begin his art studies at the Hovedskousa painting school in Gothenburg and continued his studies in Paris. Finally, in 1956, he settled in Rome. He started as a Göteborgskolorist (group of art critics) with landscape and still life painting, but around 1952 he moved to planometric and semi-abstract motifs referring to surrealism.
