Description
The table comes from the 1960s. Manufactured in the German Cooperative of Carpenters, Sculptors and Craftsmen (Produktionsgenossenschaft des Tischler und Bildhauerhandwerks). The plant was located at ul. Grenzstraße 28 in Riesa, near Dresden. Furniture marked as Couchtisch, model 14. A distinctive form of design from the 1960s: a balance between kitsch and art. The table has soaring, thin legs, forged at the bottom, a glass top with a metal edge, and a pattern that attracts like a magnet through the brocade veneer, and a geometric, centered graphic referring to the modernist trend.
The table is in original vintage condition.
