The work was created in 1983 as part of a three-part project. Swedish actress Ingrid Bergman was featured by Warhol in some of her most famous roles. The face photo profile has been re-imagined with glowing shades and graphic color blocks. This image was taken from the 1945 film The Bells of St. Mary.

Andy Warhol (1928 – 1987). He was an American artist. One of the main representatives of pop art, known primarily for simple and serial compositions with high color contrast, for which he used the serigraphy technique. Using this technique, he portrayed the greatest pop culture stars such as Brigitte Bardot, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Marlon Brando, and Elizabeth Taylor. He also created images of other widely known figures, including Mao Zedong and Vladimir Lenin. Also known for his designs of consumer products from the average American refrigerator, such as a can of Coca-Cola or Campbell’s tomato soup, and objects from everyday life, such as poppies, bananas, boxes of Brillo powder.

Work in very good vintage condition. The frame shows minor signs of use.
