Description
This set of four Danish Glostrup Møbelfabrik chairs from the 1960s. This model was designed by the world-class designer Grete Jalk. They have a clean, symmetrical line and a simple form characteristic for it. The frame is made of dark teak wood, the color of which corresponds to the shade of afromosia wood (gold teak). Original upholstery made of vinyl. It is worth noting that the upholstery has no filling or padding – it is stretched and hung on the frame. Such a procedure ensures softness and comfort of sitting.
It is an original Danish product representing the Mid-Century Modern era. All items are signed on the underside with a label with the Danish Furnituremakers Control quality mark. Preserved proportion, sterility of form and craftsmanship make the chairs exquisite and full of elegance.
The furniture has undergone maintenance. The wood has been waxed. Upholstery preserved in its original condition. It has small, deeper scratches that have been protected. The seat is 45 cm high.
