Omann Jun Møbelfabrik A/S is a Danish manufacture that was founded by Andreas Omann in 1933. The family business initially focused on creating bedroom furniture, but in later years expanded production to include dining furniture, desks, sideboards and shelving systems. All made of high-quality woods such as teak, oak, mahogany and rosewood, which have been exported all over the world. Gunni Omann is the eldest son of Andreas Omann, who designed unique, individual pieces of furniture – cabinets, desks, dining tables. Especially models 18, 75 and 55 became some of the most famous designs. The story goes that Dining Table 55 was such a success that at one point Hans J. Wegner visited furniture stores in Denmark to see what was the reason for the decline in sales of his own designs. The company’s most popular furniture was designed by Gunni Omann, is considered a work of art and is still popular at international auctions.
