Description
This organic sideboard was made in Finland during the 1960s. It was finished with oak wood, highly valued in the northern regions of Europe, with regular and clean grains and a natural, straw color. The wood was additionally brushed, which emphasized even more classic rings and brought out the rawness of the oak. The front consists of three sliding doors with longitudinal handles made of solid wood. Inside there are shelves and empty space. The base is made of solid wooden legs, joined using old carpentry technique. This sideboard is a representative of traditional Finnish craftsmanship that has sought beauty in simple and timeless solutions. The design refers to organic, strong Japanese forms, where functionality closes in one circle with the power of nature. The philosophy of combining forms taken from the natural environment and introducing them to the used space is an art in itself. All the more we are pleased to present a clean piece that combines the element, sensitivity and intelligence and open mind of the creators of this piece of furniture.
This sideboard has been partially restored and is in perfect vintage condition.
