Description
The nearly 80-year-old punch bag made of natural leather. It is hand-made, sewn with a thick thread, with a metal fastening and binding with original leather straps. It is massive, its circumference is 80 cm. Inside is a second cotton sack with leather handles, filled with sand, sawdust and straw. The leather used to make the bag had previously undergone a tanning process. It has traces of time, numerous cracks, scars, and pigment errors. It has undergone professional maintenance. Currently it weighs about 20 kg. however, its weight depends on the filling.
The bag is primarily decorative. Suspended on a rusty metal chain in an industrial, raw space of an apartment, it makes a stunning impression. However, it is not devoid of a utilitarian function.
