Description
This rare modernist lounge set was manufactured by the Swedish manufacturer Holm Fabriker AB in the early 1960s. It consists of a four-seater sofa and an armchair. It was finished with the highest quality velour material in shades of royal blue. The material has a high abrasion cycle and a hydrophobic protective coating. The base is made of solid wood turned legs. Rounded, contoured sides with wooden details and quilted backrests add an original character. This set has loose seat cushions. The piece looks extraordinary and has been made with care and precision, so it can be placed in a central place that will allow you to appreciate the form from all sides.
Karl Holm established his factory in 1918. He was a qualified professional in his field. In 1919, he started producing sofa frames, which were his specialty. As time went on, the company grew. In 1936 an upholstery workshop was added. Gradually, the factory began to specialize in the production of reclining sofas with its own patents, but armchairs and other furniture were also produced. The company survived until the 1970s and went down in history.
This set is in very good vintage condition. The upholstery has been renewed. The seat is 45 cm high. Armchair height 80 cm | Width 85 cm | Depth 75 cm.
