Description
This Italian leather armchair from the 1960s. This is a P60 model designed in 1962 by Vittorio Introini for the experimental Proposals collection by the Italian brand Saporiti Italia. The armchair has an original upholstery made of natural leather. The bottom and back of the cushions are upholstered with a green lining. The set includes a rare footrest, which is an elementary part of the chair itself, which completes its form. Both items are signed separately.
The brand was founded in 1950 by Sergio Saporiti and has since been producing some of the most distinctive pieces of furniture in the history of Italian design. The offered model is a perfect example of Italian design thought: balanced and forward-thinking, where each piece of furniture is treated as a story in itself. Each product created by Saporiti is ahead of its time and is destined, both in form and function, for the next era.
This set is in its original vintage condition. It has abrasions, cracks and changes in skin pigment, especially visible on the headrest. It is a timeless item that shows its history. The seat of the armchair is 35 cm high. Footrest dimensions: height 33 cm • width 73 cm • depth 55 cm
