This painting is another expressive pictorial composition, rich in color and texture, executed in a primitivist or naive style, with strong expressionist elements. The painting exudes warmth and serenity. It is simultaneously naive and spiritual. The colors are vibrant, the composition is orderly, and the subject seems personal, filled with inner meaning. Despite its simple form, the painting possesses a powerful emotional impact.
Frideborg Bryth (1910 – 2007) was born in Huskvarna. She was married to the artist Lennart Lilja. They had the studio together and focused mainly on oil and acrylic painting. In 1978, they published the book Yttringar with Lennart’s poems and Frideborg’s illustrations. They both belonged to the Dalsland Artists Association.
Work in original vintage condition. The frame has traces of use and age.
