Description
The beautifully designed, classic office lamp by the German brand Siemens, which has been in existence since 1847. by Peter Behrens. The lamp comes from the turn of the 1930s and 1940s. It has an original, angled lampshade in an intense color of dirty yellow. It is a rare model, where the lampshade is made of glass, not metal as in most desk lamps from that period. The glass is tinted only on the outside, the inside is white.
The lamp has original electrics with a ceramic E27 bulb holder, a beautiful, twisted cord and a Bakelite plug. The movable arm and the base are made of metal finished in a black semi-matte finish. Brass fixings are mounted at the lampshade. The switch is located in the base. The position of the lampshade can be freely adjusted, thus changing the angle of incidence of light. The engraved signature is on the bottom.
The lamp is in very good vintage condition, with minimal splinters.
