Description
This Böja three-seater sofa was designed by Carl-Erik Johansson for the Swedish manufacture Bejra Möbel during the 1960s. The organically shaped frame with contoured armrests is made of solid teak wood with a natural finish. It has six loosely seat and back cushions made of black genuine leather with even quilting. The sofa has a timeless design and the style is characteristic of Scandinavian modernism.
Bejra Möbel is a Swedish manufacture operating in the first half of the 20th century in the town of Tibro, which is a well-known center of the furniture industry in Sweden. Furniture from Bejra Möbel definitely raised the level of design in Sweden and was often presented in the trade press. They were distinguished by excellent production quality and modern design.
This sofa is in original vintage condition with normal traces of age and wear, it has natural patina, scrapes and dicolourations. The belts under the seat have been tightened again. The seat is 38 cm high.
